Stock up on this bakery’s famous ‘Alfies’ at their bank holiday city pop-up

They’re unreal with the cup of tea.
If you’ve been longing to try Lavanda Fresca’s pretty alfajores or ‘alfies’, the bakery is hosting a pop-up stall at The Marina Market this weekend.
Based at the Council Incubator Kitchen in Carrigaline, Lavanda Fresca started as a passion project when baker Laura Morales began sharing her creations, traditional Argentine sweets, on Instagram.
“Baking has always been her passion, she had her own bakery back in Argentina and when we moved to Spain she never stopped baking for family and friends,” Laura’s daughter Maria Morales Falcon told Yay Cork.

After Maria moved to Cork three years ago, Laura decided to join her and launch her business, baking her mouthwatering alfies (two crumbly cookies filled with decadent dulce de leche) to order for her loyal fans.
The business is growing too; Myo Cafe on Pope’s Quay has become the bakery’s first physical point of sale in town, with more outlets set to join them in stocking the eye-catching treats soon.
Each alfie is handcrafted to perfection using the best quality ingredients including natural lemon and orange zest, fine Belgian chocolate, and no preservatives.
The proof is in the pudding, as they say, so stop by Lavanda Fresca at The Marina Market this weekend.
