Met Éireann says there’s a bright week ahead ‘with long periods of hazy sunshine’
Spring is in the air.
Met Éireann says we can expect a pleasant start to the working week in Cork, with sunny spells for most areas today and just some patchy rain in parts.
Temperatures will remain between eight and 11 degrees today and it will be mostly dry tonight with some clear spells, along with mist and fog patches, and isolated drizzle.
It will be cold after dark with lowest temperatures of -1 to 4 degrees.
“Where clear skies persist, some frost will set in.” said a forecaster.
Sunny spells for most areas today, with patchy rain and drizzle extending slowly from the northwest, though many areas will stay fully dry☀️🌧️

Tomorrow, Wednesday will be largely dry across Munster “with long periods of hazy sunshine”, according to the national forecaster.
“Cloud will thicken towards nightfall with patchy outbreaks of rain moving eastwards through the province. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees. Becoming windy too as south to southwest winds increase fresh to strong.” they added.
The rest of the week will bring some frosty nights and early mornings, but it will be generally dry with light breezes.
