Met Éireann is forecasting a cooler week in Cork (but there’s great news for the start of June)

It’s a little cloudy out there this morning.
But if you can weather a week of scattered showers and general dullness, Met Éireann says it’ll be worth the wait, come next week.
Monday will be a much cooler day with highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees, and a light to moderate northwest breeze.
The cool, showery conditions will continue through to Wednesday, with highest temperatures edging up to 15C and 16C between outbreaks of rain.
Here’s the good bit; it’ll start turning drier and milder again later in the week:
Thursday will be “a drier day with sunny spells and just a few light showers developing. Winds remaining light, becoming northeasterly, with highs of 15 to 17 degrees.” said a forecaster.
“Some uncertainty but there are signs that it will become mainly dry and settled later next week. Temperatures will rise into the high teens, possibly into the low 20s.”
Might as well take the opportunity to give the barbecue and paddling pools a good scrub to prepare.
