Will you be there?

A climate action protest is scheduled to take place at 12 noon on Grand Parade this Saturday. The demonstration is one of several that will be held across Ireland to coincide with the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) taking place in Glasgow over the next week and a half.

The Facebook Event page for the protest, which has been set up by the Cork branch of People Before Profit, says: “People Before Profit are proud to be part of the broad coalition building the mobilisations for climate action on 6 November, as part of a wave of international demonstrations demanding real solutions to the climate emergency during COP26, the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

“Governments across the world, including the Dáil, have refused to take the radical action necessary to respond to the climate emergency.
