Walk-in vaccinations available in Cork City Hall on Sunday

It’s never been more important to get jabbed.
Only one of Cork’s vaccination centres will be open for walk-in vaccinations this weekend. The news comes as Taoiseach Micheál Martin has declared that Ireland’s planned reopening on October 22nd is in doubt.
Over 300,000 adults in Ireland remain unvaccinated, with a further 70,000 having only received one dose of a two-dose programme. As a result, Ireland is seeing cases, hospitalisations and deaths due to Covid-19 surge.
If you have not been vaccinated, you can do so without making an appointment this weekend, simply by attending Cork City Hall between 1.15pm and 4pm this Sunday. Anyone over the age of 16 is eligible to receive the vaccine, as well as children between the ages of 12 and 15 as long as they are accompanied by a guardian.
The City Hall centre will offer first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine, though you must wait at least 21 days since your original jab in order to receive the second dose. Cork’s other clinics, which have provided walk-in services for the past several weekends, will not be offering vaccines without appointment.
A second dose of Pfizer is also available to those who received AstraZeneca as their first dose.
