Siobhán McSweeney full of praise for Cork University Hospital staff following leg break

We hope she’s feeling better.
Actress Siobhán McSweeney has been effusive in her praise of Cork University Hospital after her stay for a broken leg.
McSweeney, known for playing Sister Michael on Derry Girls, is currently filming Holding in her native Cork, a crime-comedy-drama based on a Graham Norton novel. Filming has been disrupted due to her injury.
Thankfully, McSweeney has now left the hospital, and had many kind words to say about the staff following her discharge. On Twitter, she wrote:
“Now that I’ve made my jailbreak, can I just say thank you SO MUCH to the patients and staff of @CUH_Cork for minding me so well these past few weeks. I’ve had the very best of care, from laughing with the cleaners, to crying with the deeply capable and caring nurses.

“The amazing women I met on the ward with hips and no hips and chipped ankles and shoulders and very broken legs. The cheer and the craic was awesome. The care assistants who cared. So well. It’s a hard thing to care. And I was surrounded by experts. I’m beyond lucky.
“+ of course the skilful drs and surgeons who patched me back together. I’m in awe of my battered little body and it’s ability to heal with the expertise of Science and Smart People. All hail Science and Compassion. All hail Humans.
“All hail @HappyPrinceTV #holding @KathyBurke @dominictc @KarenMCogan and the cast and crew down in Skibbereen for being so kind and graceful in the face of this clumsy accident. Again, I’m lucky. Not all work places are so sound and obliging. I’m deeply grateful. Hope ye know that
“All hail my brother who spent most of the last few weeks in Dunnes buying and washing me nighties and 5 pack of knickers with great humour and generosity. All hail my friends who got in touch and made me laugh. And who cared. Beautiful creatures all.”
