More than 600 Cork passengers are booked on the first Brittany Ferries sailing to France

Non-essential travel is set to reopen on July 19th.
And with days to go, more than 600 holidaymakers are due to travel from Cork to Roscoff in France on Brittany Ferries’ flagship cruise ferry, Pont-Aven on Saturday, July 24th.

According to Hugh Bruton, Brittany Ferries General Manager for Ireland, ferry travel is ideal for anyone concerned about holidaying in big cities or busy resorts.
“Taking the ferry means there’s no need to mingle in a busy terminal building, or arrivals hall, alongside passengers from multiple destinations,” Bruton said.
“Drive on-board in your own car, then head straight to a cabin which is fed by fresh sea air. Step outside on deck, visit a bar, restaurant or shop, and do so while social distancing in safety and comfort.”

Bookings are still available for this summer, with a family chalet camping holiday in Brittany in August starting from €1,148.
