Electric Cocktails might be the tastiest crowdfunding project you’ll back this summer

By Yay Cork April 2, 2021April 2, 2021

Brought to you by Electric.

It’s going to be a summer of garden get-togethers.

And one of the best ways to pass the long days in lockdown is to plan a ton of fun ways to party alfresco during the long warm evenings ahead.

Once you’ve got the garden furniture ordered, the barbecue cleaned and the lawn mowed, it’s time to consider the most important party ingredient of all: the booze. This year, the South Mall’s premium cocktail slingers have got you covered.

They might be closed to visitors, but Electric is now taking pre-orders for a mouthwatering selection of new pre-mixed drinks that will turn your kitchen counter into a top-notch bar.

Electric Cocktails is a new crowdfunding opportunity that allows customers to pre-order their favourite new drinks at a discounted price and have them delivered to the doorstep (anywhere in Ireland or the UK) once the sun comes out.

Expertly conjured up by Electric mixologists, Carl D’Alton and Traford Murphy, the gorgeous bottles are an excellent way to toast the good weather this summer while helping to ensure a local business stays afloat until it’s safe to reopen later this year.

The flavours are beyond delicious, here’s a taste:

  • Pornstar Punch: Vodka, passionfruit, pineapple and vanilla (serve on its own over ice or topped with chilled soda water or a splash of Prosecco and garnish with passionfruit or lime).
  • Strawberry Mojito: White rum, strawberry, mint and lime (serve chilled over ice, topped with chilled soda and garnish with a mint sprig).
  • Garden Collins: Gin, apple, elderflower, cucumber and mint (serve over ice topped with chilled soda or tonic water, garnish with cucumber or lemon twist).
  • PBJ- Old Fashioned: Peanut butter whiskey, strawberry, jam bitters (serve over ice, garnish with a strawberry slice).

“Being closed has given us the time to have a lot of fun coming up with new cocktail menus and bringing new innovation to it, but at the same time we have nobody to share these cocktails with, and that in our opinion is the most rewarding part,” said Electric’s owner Ernest Cantillon.

“It looks like we are going to have another summer of garden parties and sitting at home so we said look, we have come up with these cool recipes, we can’t wait to share them with you so lets plough ahead with it.”

You can order individual bottles for €25 each, pop two in your basket for €45 or try the full range for a bargain €80. You can also purchase a €100 voucher for Electric to be used after the restrictions are lifted with a bottle of your favourite cocktail to enjoy while you wait.

Put in your order and check out the options here.
