The Marina Sunday Market has revealed its first food truck (and it’s a good one)

By Katie Mythen-Lynch September 11, 2020September 11, 2020

Revered chef Yotam Ottolenghi is a fan.

Now Cork city foodies can get their hands on Bia Rebel Ramen later this month after the famous food truck was unveiled as one of the first casual gourmet additions to the brand new Marina Sunday Market.

Ottolenghi visited the Belfast-based noodle slingers last year, later posting a glowing review of his experience complete with a photo on Instagram for his 1.2m followers around the globe.

Bia Rebel also posted up at in the back yard at Levis Corner House in Ballydehob this summer, delighting West Cork staycationers with some of the fanciest pub grub in town.

Now you’ll be able to swing by Bia Rebel on Sundays as the Marina Sunday Market kicks into gear at the old Cork Ford factory on Centre Park Road, bringing life and fresh energy to one of the city’s most famous industrial sites on Sunday, September 20th.

GUJI speciality coffee bars will also be opening at the site, with the company unveiling a custom container for the new spot earlier this week. If you want to find out more about setting up a stall at the market, email hello@marinamarket.ie.

“At Bia Rebel Ramen they fuse the two cultures of Ireland and Japan together to create a delicious, addictive bowl of savoury goodness.” said the Marina Market organisers. “A proper meal in a bowl, for all the family.”

Just another reason to get up early on Sundays this autumn.
