This handy timer calculates exactly how long there is to go until you can get a pint

Remember pints?
Cold and refreshing, creamy and smooth, sipped at the bar or enjoyed in the beer garden in the glorious spring sunshine.
*sniff*
Anyway, we’ve all accepted that pints, at least the ones you get in the pub, cocktails and fancy gin bowls are a faraway dream for the time being (at least until August 10th, when they’re tentatively slated for reopening).
But now there’s a handy way to chart the countdown.

Someone’s invented a live Pint Time clock you can access here.
Right now, if everything goes to plan and the Government can roll out the roadmap to reopening Ireland after the Covid-19 crisis, we could potentially be seeing the first pints poured in Ireland in mid-August, when Phase 5 of the schedule begins.
That leaves, according to the clock, around 99 days to plan the biggest socially-distanced sesh the country has ever seen.
