LOOK UP: You can see the International Space Station from Ireland tonight
Set an alarm for 7pm this evening.
The International Space Station will be visible today to the naked eye from all over Ireland (if clouds allow) at exactly 7:05 pm.
Italian space enthusiast Ignazio Magnani alerted his Twitter followers to the rare opportunity today, adding a list of astronauts who are currently working in space, including NASA’s Christina Koch and Jessica Meir and Italian engineer and astronaut Luca Parmitano of the European Astronaut Corps for the European Space Agency.

A platform the size of a football field, the International Space Station is Earth’s only microgravity laboratory.
“Research aboard the orbiting laboratory holds benefits for life back on Earth, as well as for future space exploration,” says NASA.
“The space station serves as a testbed for technologies and allows us to study the impacts of long-term spaceflight to humans, supporting NASA’s mission to push human presence farther into space.”
