Take a table quiz and support a cool new Cork composting community

It’s Humpday and we need a distraction.
Now there’s a brilliant excuse to break up your boring work week with a sneaky trip to the pub… all in support of making Cork a healthier, greener place to live.
Cork Urban Soil Project is holding a fundraising table quiz at Crawford & Co, Anglesea Street on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020.
A clever little idea that could have a big impact, Cork Urban Soil Project (CUSP) takes organic waste material and compostable packaging generated by the weekly Mahon Point Farmers’ Market in Cork City and puts it through a biodigestor (a type of fast composting machine).
The soil generated by the biodigestor is given to community urban growing projects “to resourcefully keep organic resources within the community”.
Sounds good, right? Drop in and play Ringo Music Bingo from 8pm-10pm. Teams of four are €5 per head and tickets can be bought on the door.
