CONFIRMED: David Gray will play Cork’s Musgrave Park in 2020

By Yay Cork November 11, 2019November 11, 2019

You’ve probably got his best selling album in your collection.

Twenty years after the release of White Ladder, David Gray has been announced as the next major act set to take the stage at Cork’s Musgrave Park this summer.

After a sell-out night at Live at the Marquee last summer, the UK singer/songwriter (51), best-known for his hit songs This Year’s Love, Babylon, Please Forgive Me and Sail Away, will land on Leeside once again on June 20th, 2020.

At a media briefing held at the Metropole Hotel on MacCurtain Street and attended by the singer this afternoon, MCD Productions confirmed that Gray will include Cork in the Irish leg of his White Ladder 20th anniversary tour, which will also visit Dublin over three nights from April 2nd-4th, 2020.

The news will be music to the ears of Gray’s legion of Irish fans; re-released on ATO Records in 2000, White Ladder sold 100,000 copies in Ireland alone, keeping it at number one for six weeks.

Next year looks set to be a busy one for live music in Cork, with Dermot Kennedy taking the stage at Musgrave Park on June 27th, 2020 and Westlife due to play two nights at Páirc Ui Chaoimh on August 28th and 29th, 2020.

Tickets priced at €49.90 go on general sale on Friday November 15th at 9am via Ticketmaster.
