The Charity Shop Crawl will show you the best thrifty finds in Cork

This is genius.
If you’d like to start shopping more sustainably, but you don’t know where to start, an upcoming walking tour will take you to all of the best thrift stores in town.
After countless sell-out events in the capital, The Sustainable Fashion Dublin duo Geraldine and Taz are hitting the road for the rebel county, hosting a Charity Shop Crawl on Saturday, August 17th, 2019.

Meeting at 2pm outside MABS on North Main Street, the two-hour adventure offers vintage fans the chance to “veer away from the high street and get a glimpse of the incredible fashion bargains that there are to be found throughout this city, all whilst supporting some really worthwhile charities as you go.”
The seasoned style spotters will also be revealing the tricks of the thrifting trade and everyone will receive a bespoke map of all the charity shops in the area.

The next day, Sunday, August 18th, the SFD gang host a Swap Shop & Sustainable Fashion Flea in The River Lee hotel from 12pm – 4pm (details on how to join the swap meet here).
Afterwards you catch a panel discussion with Cork-based sustainable designers, vintage shop owners and advocates including the crew from Miss Daisy Blue Vintage, Lynn from The Upcycle Movement (a brilliant Cork brand that makes bags and accessories out of wetsuits) and Michaela from The Nu Wardrobe.
More reasons than ever to skip the Saturday Penney’s haul.
