This zero waste website will show you where to shop plastic-free

A new website is aiming to organise every plastic-free product, store, meeting and workshop in Ireland into searchable categories to make it easier to access unpackaged goods.
Each year, Irish people produce 61kg of plastic per person – the equivalent of nearly 6000 disposable coffee cups or more than 2000 water bottles.
Scary stuff.
Go Zero hopes to provide a resource to make it easier to go plastic-free, with information on local farmer’s markets, health food shops and refill stores where you can stock up on necessities and groceries without taking home a mountain of plastic wrappers.
The site encourages users to shop at businesses like Clonakilty’s Twig Refill, where customers are encouraged to bring their own bags, containers and glass jars to bulk buy grains, legumes, herbs and spices, dried fruit, nuts, olive oils and apple cider vinegar.
The best bit is that all the information and listings are crowd sourced, so if you find a shop or service you’d like to recommend, you can simply add it to the website for others to enjoy too.
Listing are now open so hit the site to register for free and add your top plastic-free picks.
