It’s the end of the week and you deserve a treat.

Happily this week you can team a feel-good purchase with doing some good for an excellent cause on Opera Lane.

Specsavers is hosting a charity Bake Sale on Friday, June 21st, with an assortment of tasty goodies on offer until stocks run out.

The fun kicks off at 9am, with all proceeds going to Sight Savers’ Bright for Sight fundraiser.

There are 36 million people in the world who are blind, but 75% of blindness could be prevented or cured. In fact, just €32 can provide an adult with a sight-restoring cataract operation, transforming their life forever.

Employees will be wearing yellow (the colour that is easiest for someone with a visual impairment to see) on the day so look out for them on the day and kick off your weekend with some freshly baked goodies (€2 per item) or donate online here.
