Can you believe Yay Cork is one year old already?

It’s been an exciting twelve months and now our mates at Ireland’s best (dog-friendly!) cocktail bar, Cask on MacCurtain Street, are marking the occasion with a special menu addition we know you’ll love.

Behold: The Hair of the DAWG (€7.50):

Here’s what’s in it:

• Coco-Pops Milk
• Silk Tree Non-Alcoholic Spirit
• Decaf espresso ice cream 

You can make it boozy if you like with a shot of house spirit for €4.

The best bit? €3 from every Hair of the DAWG cocktail sold at Cask this winter will be donated to our Yay Cork charity partner Dog Action Welfare Group (DAWG), who look after and rehome Cork’s abandoned and abused dogs.

The charity was forced to close its doors to new admissions this Christmas because of the volume of homeless animals they were dealing with.

It’s a sad situation. With over 70 dogs and puppies already in their care, the facilities are at capacity.

Every little helps so if you’re meeting up with mates or hitting town for a spot of shopping over the holidays, raise a toast to Yay Cork at Cask and your cocktail will help a very good cause.
