Yikes: Met Éireann has issued a MAJOR weather warning

Just when we were happily topping up our tans…
While the weather for the June Bank Holiday weekend is broadly good, Met Éireann has issued a warning that a short burst of rain tomorrow is likely to be rather torrential.
The national forecaster has advised the public to fold up their beach umbrellas between midday and 10pm on Friday, with up to 55mm of rain due to fall all over the country.
Brilliant.
The Status Yellow weather warning advises: “High intensity rainfall amounts in scattered thunderstorms during Friday, leading to spot flooding. As much as 50mm possible in a short time.”

Hey, at least we won’t have to water the hanging baskets for a while.
