This is the mouthwatering Cork menu Prince Charles and Camilla enjoyed last night

It was a true flavour of the Real Capital.
After a hectic day that involved an English Market visit, a City Hall speech and a whistle stop tour of Cork sights, including UCC, and charities, HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall headed for The Crawford, where a feast of local produce had been laid on.
The five-star menu, served to 60 VIP guests in the Long Room, featured some of Cork’s best ingredients, artfully prepared by the Ballymaloe team at The Crawford Gallery Cafe.
The feast began with Ardsallagh Goat’s Cheese, poached wild salmon and roast rack of East Cork lamb served with Shanagarry baby carrots.

A salad of leaves from the Ballymaloe Gardens was served alongside Ballycotton new potatoes.
Dessert was a strawberry and elderflower jelly and guests enjoyed a selection of Cork Farmhouse Cheese from the English Market as they dined into the night.
Using the occasion to pay tribute to the late author, cook and activist Mrs Myrtle Allen, who passed away this week, chef Rory O’Connell tweeted a photo of the artfully designed menu, adding: ‘Think we did Cork and Mrs Allen proud tonight.’
We quite agree.
