Bored of your usual walking route?
If you live within 5km of the city centre, today is a good day to redirect the daily stroll towards Pembroke Street, where a decadent Easter treat awaits the grown-ups.
Arthur Maynes might be closed due to Level 5 restrictions, but this year they’ve concocted a gloriously chocolatey ‘Easter Rising’ dessert cocktail, available from the door all weekend.
The Arthur Maynes mixologist describes the drink as a “smooth, creamy mix of Bailey’s, vodka, Kahlua, Frangelico, cacao brown, milk, caramel and chocolate”.
It sounds like an adults-only milkshake and we wholeheartedly approve.
If it’s a savoury treat you’re after, you can pick up one of their lamb cigars (pictured above) to enjoy with a portion of halloumi fries and salsa verde, or try the Cubano Ciabatta; grilled pork loin, Ham, pickled cucumber, Emmental cheese and Mojo sauce, served with rustic potatoes.
The full menu is available here and Arthur Maynes opens from 10am-9pm. There’s no better excuse to get some bank holiday Monday exercise.
