This riverside sauna in Coachford just added three new cold plunge tubs

Fans say it’s excellent for immunity and mental health.
And now you can take a freezing dip after your sauna sesh’ in one of three new custom-built cold plunge baths at the Ballyhass Coachford riverside saunas.
Set on the edge of the Lee Valley, guests can elevate their recovery and relaxation with the new baths, dunk bucket showers and the classic river dip – a complete and immersive contrast therapy experience.

Alternating between hot and cold is proven to boost circulation, reduce inflammation, and clear the mind – but the Ballyhass crew say it’s about more than just the benefits. It’s about” creating moments for people to step outside, slow down and reconnect, offering wellness in its most authentic form: outdoors, surrounded by nature”.
You can book in for a 60-minute session (€14) and make use of all the facilities during your visit.
Sauna Social
As part of its growing community focus, Ballyhass will also host a Sauna Social Evening this month, featuring a special Movember edition aimed at bringing men together for connection, conversation and recovery. Keep an eye on their socials for the date.

For regular sauna-goers, Ballyhass offers a monthly rolling subscription (€80/month) that includes access to both Ballyhass sauna locations – Coachford and Mallow – giving members the freedom to sauna up to five days a week in either site and seven days across both.
To round out the experience, the Ballyhass Cafe is open during sauna hours – the perfect spot to relax before or after your session with a cup of Mahers Coffee, sweet treats, or a pizza while taking in the river views.
