Cork bookworms might want to clear a bit of space on their bookshelves.

A massive second-hand book sale is coming to the city this weekend – and everything is just €1 a book.

Rebel Reads is bringing 2,000 new books to its upcoming book sale, giving readers the chance to stock up without doing too much damage to the bank balance.

The sale takes place on Sunday, September 27th, from 11am to 4pm at Unit 2, Marina Commercial Park, Centre Park Road, Ballintemple, Cork.

And with two thousand books up for grabs, there should be plenty to have a rummage through.

Whether you’re looking for your next holiday read, hoping to find some old favourites or simply can’t resist a bargain when it comes to books, €1 is pretty hard to argue with.

Rebel Reads shared the news on Instagram, writing: “We have TWO THOUSAND new books in for €1 a pop! Can you imagine???”

So, if you’ve been telling yourself that you’ll get back into reading, this might be a fairly good excuse to start. There’s no booking required – just rock up for a browse.

Just remember: at €1 a book, you may find it considerably harder to leave with only one.
