It’s all about the coffee walks these days.
With outdoor meet-ups the order of the day thanks to Covid-19 restrictions, now there’s another new spot to swing by for a post-exercise caffeine boost at the Lee Fields.
The Kingsley Hotel’s Bean and River coffee dock has been supplying strollers with hot teas and coffees, cold beverages and a selection of sweet and savoury treats in the sunshine at the riverside park.
There’s iced frappes and iced tea if you fancy something cold and you can even pick up a well-deserved lunch to enjoy al fresco; they do a mean Toasted Special crepe with ham, tomato, red onion and cheddar cheese and a Nutella and Dulce de Leche crepe for sweet-toothed customers.
You can also pre-order a picnic to enjoy on the grass from June 20th (€17.50 per adult, €10 per child, call 021 4800 500 to arrange).
“Bean & River has been a great addition to our riverside walkway, says Fergal Harte, General Manager of The Kingsley.
“Guests enjoy the selection of drinks and goodies available as a welcome treat during their walk along the banks of the beautiful River Lee. We have ensured that Bean & River follows all government guidelines regarding social distancing and service protocols to ensure guest safety at all times.”
Bean & River opens daily from 11am to 6pm. The Kingsley is set to reopen on Monday, June 29th in accordance with government guidelines.
