There’s an adorable parent and toddler dance class starting in Cork this autumn

Sleep-ins don’t exist for most toddler parents.
So if you’re going to be up and about at dawn on a Saturday morning, you might as well plan something fun to keep your energetic offspring entertained.
This September you’ll find just the thing in Mahon Point; The ACA Performing Arts is starting a Baby Bop Club Parent & Me Dance Class.
The six-week course, which will take place in the Community Room at the shopping centre, is designed to introduce little ones to all the fundamentals of dance through song, acting, and movement.
The location is ideal for having a nip ’round the shops and a coffee afterwards.

“The benefits of dance are endless but include development of muscle tone, coordination, posture, balance, spacial awareness, rhythm, musicality, and memory training.” say the organisers.
A unique parent and child bonding opportunity, the class offers a fun and expressive environment for kids to explore movement, all while accompanied by mum or dad.
In fact, you might even burn a few calories yourself: “Your little stars aren’t the only ones expected to bring the moves!” they added.
Classes begin on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 for children aged from 18 months to three years and they will run at 9am and 10am. To sign up, email theacaperformingarts@gmail.com.
