There’s a new menu of fierce fancy cold coffee drinks at this Barrack St café

‘Tis far from special espressos we were raised.
Still, the lure of fancy caffeinated beverages is strong and this week it’s calling us up Barrack Street to one of the city’s newest cafés.
Crush Brew Bar just unveiled an extra page in its Signature Drinks menu.
For caffeine fiends, there’s a Guinness Cascara (€4.50), a blend of cascara (made from the dried skins of pulped coffee cherries) and Guinness syrup with lacto-fermented strawberries, tonic water, or carbonated water, and a Freeze Distilled Flat White (€5) with special espresso.

If it’s fruity drinks that float your boat, try the Tepache with naturally fermented pineapple, piloncillo, and pineapple leaf or the Kumquat Spritz, a refreshing mix of angostura orange bitters, carbonated water and dried lavender – €4.50.
Prefer your coffee hot? Fear not; Crush serves all the classic drinks made with delicious West Cork Coffee too.
They open at 8am.
