Let this Cork business turn your kids’ art into the cutest custom gifts

By Yay Cork February 20, 2026February 19, 2026

Still have last week’s crayon masterpiece Blu-Tacked to the fridge?

If you’re that kind of parents, listen up. A small but mighty brand from Cork is turning those wobbly lines and wild technicolour scribbles into keepsakes you can enjoy daily.

Meet Little Heirloom, the Rosscarbery-based studio transforming children’s drawings and loved ones’ handwriting into beautifully crafted homeware – just in time for Mother’s Day (that’s Sunday, March 15th, FYI).

Founded by designer Diane Wisdom and her husband James, Little Heirloom was born at their kitchen table,  inspired by life with their own two “little artists”.

What started as a love letter to their kids’ joyful chaos has grown into one of Ireland’s most thoughtful gifting brands.

From Fridge Door to Forever Piece

We all know the ritual: admire the drawing, stick it on the fridge, promise to keep it forever… then quietly recycle it during the next clear-out. Little Heirloom interrupts that cycle.

The brand takes children’s artwork, handwritten notes, and even old family recipes and reimagines them as tactile, usable pieces – think framed wall art, personalised chopping boards and pizza boards, vases, fridge magnets, mugs and modern homeware.

Every piece is designed and made with love in West Cork, keeping production small, local and intentional.

For parents who care about where their money goes, there’s another reason to feel good. Little Heirloom proudly partners with LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, donating €2 from every sale directly to the charity.

To date, the business has raised more than €12,000 to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families, and the partnership will continue into 2026 and beyond.

“Little Heirloom feels very full-circle for me personally,” says Diane.

“I’ve been incredibly artistic all of my life, and my work as a designer has always been about seeing beauty in the little details. Our two young children inspire so much of what we do, and they showed us just how precious and magical even the simplest doodles can be.”

Simply upload a photo of your child’s creation when you order and check out the items available here.
