Brought to you by the Blue Haven Collection.
This is the stuff that weekend dates are made of.
If a seaside spin is on the agenda soon, Kinsale’s Blue Haven Hotel has come up with one of the swankiest sweet treats available to enjoy while you soak up the sunshine.
The brand new Blue Haven Garden ‘Coffee, Crepes and Champagne’ stand is now open seven days a week, offering a fabulously fancy take on seaside snacking.
Now officially one of the Irish Independent’s ’50 Best Places to Stay 2021′, summer bookings are filling up at The Blue Haven Hotel, but the brand has plenty of treats in store for daytrippers too.
While you wait for your warm black forest, cheesecake or Nutella strawberry crepes to be smothered in fresh cream, you can toast the end of the 5km travel rule with a well-deserved flute of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial or a snipe of prosecco.
The Blue Haven Garden is also where you’ll find freshly squeezed orange juice and iced lattes, as well as a choice of baked Hasselback potatoes topped with your choice of sour cream, chives, cheddar and bacon or chicken tikka and coriander (check out the full menu on Facebook here).
Swing by one of Ireland’s best food trucks
If it’s a hearty feast you’re after, The Gourmet Food Truck (officially one of the best food trucks in Ireland, according to Lucinda O’Sullivan) can be found in the Hamlets courtyard. Drop by for takeaway wood-fired pizzas, succulent burgers and tasty tacos (you can always pop back to the Champagne Garden for dessert).
Once restrictions allow, the Hamlets Street Food and Gastro Garden will once again become the biggest alfresco venue in the seaside town, with cosy seating and a covered outdoor area offering a relaxing, luxurious space for guests to kick back and enjoy the mouthwatering menu. An expansion plan is underway too and word has it we might be seeing an exciting new Dessert Bar area added to the mix.
The Blue Haven Collection is gearing up for a busy summer
It’s all systems go at Hamlets and the Blue Haven Hotel, but those aren’t the only Blue Haven Collection properties getting ready for summer. The brand’s buzzy Sunday’s Well café Vikki’s reopens for takeaway five days a week on Wednesday, April 28th, making it the perfect stop for coffee and cake on your next stroll across the Shaky Bridge.
The Old Bank House, already offering accommodation to essential workers, will be firing up the ovens for fresh bakes and coffee from May 1st, 2021 too.
