It’s free Barry’s Tea all day (and “a rake of bishcuits”) at this VERY Irish Tea Party

Tea doesn’t always get the credit it deserves.
But a decent cup of Barry’s is the star of the show at a Very, Very Irish Tea Party birthday celebration at Myo Café on Pope’s Quay on Halloween, Thursday, October 31st.
An all-day trad sesh, party and fundraiser for Gaza will mark ten years of Myo this Samhain (1pm to 5pm) by welcoming everyone in for “a rake of tae, bishcuits (perhaps a spontaneous céilí) and the most Irish and Cork thing of all solidarity with the people of Palestine.”

“We will be raising funds for the wonderful folks at Gaza Go Bragh who are working on the ground in the North and South as well as UNRWA (The United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees) who provide vital services for displaced people as winter approaches and the genocide intensifies.”
You can pop in from 1pm and enjoy live trad music, free Barry’s Tea all day, biccies and Samhain on the quay until the Dragon of Shandon kicks off at 6pm and the ghouls descend on the street once more.
There will also be a raffle on the day with spot prizes to win so grab a few tickets and help out the cause.
“As Shandon local Mother Jones said- “Mourn the dead and fight like hell for the living” and we take this philosophy to heart with the knowledge that money raised on our birthday will indeed be the difference between life and death for the people of Palestine.” added the Myo crew.
“We fight for life, we fight for humanity, we fight for community.”
