As Covid-19 restrictions continue, it’s never been more important that we all try our best to spend a few bob locally and one new Cork-made website has come up with a way to help us pay it forward.

FundOurFavs (FOF) is an initiative started in Cork to drive investment in local businesses. The website creators say their goal is to support local businesses through the lockdown period, help them to survive the crisis and re-open their doors when it’s all over.

You can already plan a fun day out in post-Covid-19 Cork with a gift card for Café Velo, Paradiso or Market Lane. Eco, Cask and Electric are also on the list, alongside a growing selection of other Cork spots.

“Companies can register with us, and sell gift cards on our website for customers, keeping cashflows coming in, helping them survive this crisis,” say FundOurFavs.
