Good news for the weekend with temperatures set to hit a balmy 20C in Cork

It might be time to dig out the togs.
After a misty start earlier this morning, today will be mainly dry with sunny spells… and the weather is looking pretty pleasant for much of the weekend too.
According to Met Éireann, a few isolated showers may develop in the late afternoon and evening, but highest temperatures will range from 15 to 18 degrees on Friday.
After a dry, clear night, Saturday is set to be even warmer:
“On Saturday morning, any patchy mist and fog will soon clear to give a largely dry day with spells of sunshine.” said a forecaster.

“Cloud will increase from the west during the evening. Quite warm with highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees and light, variable breezes.”
Conditions are expected to become cooler from Sunday onwards so if you’re toying with the idea of a dip in the sea, hit the beach earlier rather than later.
