Good Day Deli launched the perfect garden picnic box (and it sold out immediately)

The appetite for exciting food is ravenous.
With everyone stretched to the limits of their kitchen repertoire during the lockdown, the lure of something new and delicious to eat is strong… and it’s opening us up to new dishes, businesses and ideas.
Case in point; Good Day Deli’s Kete Kai Box, a €65 doorstep delivery of picnic-perfect bits that sold out within hours this morning.
The Nano Nagle Place eatery is closed to the public during the Covid-19 restrictions, but the team came up with a delicious box of sustainable foods for their Kete Kai (Food Basket in Māori) including a GDD Mezze, a bottle of premium natural wine and a selection of their cake slices to serve between two and six people, all delivered with contactless payment.
The lucky foodies who nabbed the limited offer while it was available will be treated to a spread of Irish cheeses, garlic crostini and fresh soda bread, organic hummus and pesto, nuts and pickles, dukkah rolled eggs, poached pear and organic grapes to enjoy in the sunshine this Friday, with Beamish Stout chocolate cake, carrot and ginger walnut cake to enjoy for afters.
A choice of natural wine is also included, along with a voucher for a cup of coffee for two at Good Day Deli when they open again after restrictions are lifted.
We’re gutted we missed it but keep an eye on Good Day Deli’s Instagram feed for the next drop.
