Elevate your DIY pie with sourdough pizza dough from this Cork bakery

It’s just what we knead.
Since opening in the spring of last year, it’s been all systems go at Wildflour HQ. Bit by bit, the Innishannon bakery has added to its scrumptious offering, serving top-class loaves (all made with locally sourced ingredients) and buttery treats to pastry-loving locals and bread aficionados alike.
This week, the bakery announced a brand new menu item, much to the delight of Cork foodies: sourdough pizza balls.
DIYers can now pick up Wildflour’s pre-made sourdough pizza balls to create their very own homemade pizza, and with the sourdough revolution in full swing, we’re sure this one will be flying off the shelves.

Sourdough pizza differs slightly from the regular dough made with commercial yeast (aka baker’s yeast). Sourdough is more tangy, chewy, and has a smaller crust whereas commerical yeast gives you a more bread-like flavour.
Wildflour also announced their very own tomato sauce to accompany the dough, which customers can also pick up in-store.
All that’s left to do is grab some toppings, fire up the oven and get cooking.
