Could your best photo WIN the Fota Wildlife Park Photography Competition?

Have you snapped the perfect picture of Fota’s sleepy sloth?
Maybe you’ve been photobombed by a Humboldt penguin… or struck a pose with a red panda?
Fota Wildlife Park has put the call out for the best visitor photographs of 2019 – and they want to see your most creative snaps.
As part of the Fota Wildlife Park Photography Competition in association with Cork Airport, 12 photographs will be chosen for the 2020 pictorial Fota Wildlife Park calendar.
But that’s not all; the 12 images will be exhibited in the main terminal in Cork Airport during the month of October 2019.
The closing date is August 31st, 2019 so there’s plenty of time to spend a day in Fota Wildlife Park hunting for the winning shot. Entries can feature general views, plants, animals, birds or any inhabitant of the park and there are some excellent prizes on offer.
These are the categories for this year’s competition:
• Best photograph by camera club photographer
Prize: €300 plus a conservation annual pass. (Proof of current camera club membership required).
• Best photograph by professional photographer
Prize: €300 and a conservation annual pass.
• Best photograph by an international visitor (proof of address may be requested)
Prize: €300 plus a VIP Wild Experience private tour for the winner or a guest of their choice (valid for 12 months).
• Best photograph by non-club/non-professional photographer
Prize: €300 plus a conservation annual pass
• Best photograph using a smart phone / tablet
Prize: Conservation annual pass
• Best photograph by a photographer under 16
Prize: A Conservation annual pass for the winner and their family (Proof of age may be requested, please note that only people over the age of 18 can be an annual pass holder).
