Cork’s only zero-alcohol pub is actually a great shout for a Dry January pint

On the dry but missing the craic?
If coffee shops don’t quite cut it, January could be a good time to check out Cork’s only zero-alcohol pub.
SAOR Bar in the Marina Market is open and serving a variety of interesting 0% beers, wines, and cocktails, making it the perfect spot for a catch-up with friends during Dry January and beyond.

Founded by Steve Guiney, well-known in Cork’s beverage scene as co-founder of Original 7, SAØR was born out of a growing demand for more thoughtful, adult-style alcohol-free options. Guiney says the concept is “beyond a juice, beyond a mocktail,” designed for people who want great drinks without compromise.
So what’s on the menu? Expect signature alcohol-free cocktails crafted with the same care as traditional mixes, non-alcoholic beers, including Irish craft options and alcohol-free wines (the 0% non-alcoholic wine from Hollowleg is just seven calories per glass).
There are sparkling alternatives aplenty, zero-proof spirits designed to replicate botanicals and homemade lemonades and seasonal hot drinks plus a range of modern zero-alcohol beverages such as kombucha and kefir.
The best bit? You can stay for another and still drive home.
