Things are about to get hectic.
Between the Christmas parties, after work drinks, meet-ups with mates and everything else that needs to be accomplished before December 25th (turkey, gift wrapping, wreath making…) finding time for mindfulness this month might be tricky.
That’s why the lovely folk at St Luke’s Inn are attempting to make it easier to take a little time out this weekend; the pub has teamed up with Yoga with Emer to host A Mindful Morning in aid of St Lukes Welcomes before they open this Saturday, December 7th, 2019.
“This is a chance for a bit of calm before Christmas.” says Emer.
“Start your Saturday off feeling relaxed, grounded and connected to your body and breath. We will begin with a grounding meditation, followed by some gentle chair yoga to get our bodies moving.”
The class is suitable for everyone and no experience of yoga, mindfulness or meditation is necessary. Simply drop in before you head to town to start your Christmas shopping.
‘Come as you are’
“You don’t need to wear yoga clothes or bring anything with you.” adds Emer. “Just come as you are. If you have time after, stay for a cuppa and a chat in cosy St Luke’s Inn.”
The class is €5, every cent of which will go to St Luke’s Welcomes, a community sponsorship group supporting refugee families. Email [email protected] or text 083 876 56 36 to book your place.
