Alarm going off for three days in Cork city FINALLY disabled

At last, some relief.
An alarm that had been blaring from a building on Washington Street in Cork city for the past three days was finally switched off today after the fiasco was publicised by Neil Prendeville on RedFM.
The noise had been called out by music producer GMC on Twitter last night, who wrote: “Who owns the building where indigo restaurant was on Washington St Cork? The alarm is driving people mental the last 3 days. The guards can’t go in to turn it off, city council haven’t done anything about it. Dozens of people can’t sleep, all cos of 1 man’s alarm.”

RedFM DJ Prendeville ran a segment about the alarm on his show this morning, saying “We’ve been contacted by residents in the Washington Street area who are demented from an alarm going off at Indigo Brasserie for 3 days. Gardaí& the council cannot help as they say they cannot find the building owner.”
The publicity did the trick, as just one hour later Prendeville shared an update: “SORTED!!!!!!! Well done to Trevor O’ Connor at Absolute Fire Systems who is after disabling the alarm for us! Job well done. Sleep well tonight Washington Street Residents.”
All’s well that ends well.
