Works will begin soon.
A new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) is to be installed on Grange Road, providing a new spot for local kids to enjoy a kickabout in safety.
Cllr. Shane O’Callaghan confirmed the news following last night’s council meeting at Cork City Hall, where he requested an update from the Council Executive on these plans.
‘The Multi-Use Games Area will be a fantastic amenity for the local community in Grange-Frankfield.” said Cllr. O’Callaghan.
“It will be located beside the Grange Road entrance to the new Pedestrian & Cycle Lane, which opened before Christmas.
“I have been pushing for both of these fantastic amenities for a number of years and it is great to see them coming to fruition.”
It is envisaged that the MUGA will be ready for use by the public by June 2024.
