Happy Pancake Tuesday. Get a FREE crepe this morning in Cork City

There’s a queue for these every year.
But no doubt savvy pancake fans will be out in force once again this morning, joining the line for free traditional crêpes at Gino’s Gelato.
From 9am–12pm on Tuesday, February 17th, it’s first come, first served for a complimentary traditional crêpe with lemon, butter and sugar at participating stores nationwide, including Wilton, Paul Street, St Patrick’s Street and Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork.
This year’s celebration is even sweeter, as Gino’s Gelato officially launches its brand-new 2026 crêpe menu, featuring indulgent newcomers including Biscoff and Snickers Specials, alongside a range of delicious new flavour combinations set to delight crêpe lovers nationwide.
How does it work?
The basic crepes are free but customers wanting to upgrade their crêpe can add Nutella for just €2, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the Children’s Health Foundation, supporting children’s hospitals in Temple Street, Crumlin, Connolly and Tallaght.
“Pancake Tuesday has become one of the highlights of our year.” says Jonathan Kirwan, founder of Gino’s Gelato.
“The energy and excitement from our customers is incredible, and we love being able to give back to the community while supporting such an important cause. We’re expecting another record turnout this year, so my advice is simple: get there early!”
